The Healthcare Industry is continually expanding. Whether you are interested in a clinical or non-clinical role, we are here to assist you in pursuing a healthcare career.
Kingman Healthcare Center, along with Kingman Healthcare Center Foundation and Kingman Healthcare Center Auxiliary, has established three (3) $500.00 scholarships. These scholarships are open to residents of Kingman County wishing to pursue a career in the healthcare field.

APPLICATION INFORMATION
SELECTION & AWARDS
Application window will close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
A Scholarship Committee appointed by the Kingman Healthcare Center Board of Trustees will review the applications and select the recipients.
Each individual may apply annually.
The scholarship award will be paid directly to the educational institution.
Scholarships will be awarded without regard to race, religion, creed, age, sex, orientation, or national origin.
All applicants will be notified by June 30.
Scholarship is contingent on fund availability.
Three (3) $500.00 scholarships will be awarded.
ELIGIBILITY
Kingman County resident committed to pursuing a healthcare career in Kansas and particularly in Kingman County.
Part-time of full-time student in healthcare clinical or non-clinical course study leading to a certificate, degree, or credential not currently held. Proof of acceptance into the chosen career program will be required to receive the award.
Attending a Kansas educational institution, including a technical or two-or-four-year institution. An exception may be given for an accredited online or out-of-state program if the reason for choosing such an institution is explained in the application.
Priority will be given to individuals currently employed by Kingman Healthcare Center.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Personal Letter from ApplicantWrite a letter directed to the KHC Scholarship Committee describing your career and educational goals, and how you intend to reach those goals. Describe the qualities you have developed that will help you succeed in obtaining your goals.
Letters of RecommendationPlease provide two letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, volunteer leaders, or work supervisors who can describe your abilities and potential to succeed as you pursue your career in the healthcare field.
Activity SheetPlease list volunteer activities and community service projects with which you’ve been involved.
TranscriptPlease provide a copy of your high school / college transcript.
PhotoPlease include a head and shoulders photograph of yourself. With your permission, the photo will be included with press releases sent to the media announcing award recipients. It may also be used in our own marketing/reporting.
