Biography:
Hussam Farhoud MD FACC FSCAI CCDS is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a certified Cardiac Device Specialist by Heart Rhythm Society. He is also a Heart Failure /Cardiac Transplant Specialist. Dr. Farhoud graduated from medical school at Aleppo University in Syria. He was awarded a scholarship for additional training at Innsbruck University, Innsbruck Austria.He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. He completed General Cardiology, Interventional (Coronary and Peripheral Vascular), Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant, and Nuclear Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center where he served as a faculty member during his last year of fellowship.
Dr. Farhoud is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is the former Heart Failure Program Director and the Heart Transplant Cardiologist at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, and the former President of Medical Staff at Kansas Medical Center in Andover. He has extensive research experience in Heart Failure, Immunosuppression Therapy and Left Ventricular Assist Device. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, and Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Farhoud is married and has three children.�
